Floral Thinlit Dies

I’m continuing with the wedding theme this week and showing you one of my favorite cards I’ve made in a long time.

This card was created using the brand new Floral Thinlit Dies.

I started out with a piece of paper 10″ long by 4.25″ wide.  I cut the two sides of the paper using the dies and then scored the fold.  The middle of the card ended up being 4.75″.

I also cut coordinating pieces of vellum to create a shadow box effect.  I sponged various spots of color on the vellum to add color to the leaves and flowers.

The inside was stamped with a wonderful wedding sentiment.

The finishing touches were a belt to hold the card closed and a coordinating envelope!

So elegant and sophisticated…thanks Stampin’ Up!

No wonder it is a favourite for you. It is beautiful. I think the vellum layer underneath is a brilliant idea.
